Plant Varieties
Cape Cod Lavender Farm sells varieties of lavender that are hardy on the Cape and along the eastern seaboard (zones 5 and 6). Note: We do our best to have a wonderful selection to choose from most of the growing season, but not all varieties are available at all times.
Angustifolia = common lavender
Intermedia = hybrid

MUNSTEAD (lavandula angustifolia)
Color: Light purple. June/July. Height: 12"to 18" tall. Very fragrant. One of our favorite varieties.
VERA (lavandula angustifolia)
Color: purple. Height: 2' - 3' in bloom. Bloom time: July. Very fragrant.
GROSSO (lavandula x intermedia 'Grosso')
Color: purple. Height: large 3' flower spike and long stem. Three feet in full bloom. Good for making lavender wands.
TWICKLE PURPLE (lavandula angustifolia)
Color: gray/green foliage. Height: Long spike. 2-3' in full bloom. Nice shape; makes a good, low hedge.

Please keep in mind that there are hundreds of varieties of lavender and lavender hybrids. Color, fragrance, and height may vary.
Light purple in color and extremely fragrant, Provence comes beautiful and mature in a one (1) gallon pot. Grows 2' to 3' tall. This is a large flower with a long stem. Pale buds open to purple.
